Preloading custom fields on projects inside a board

When you're inside a board, you can set it up so that when you create a new project inside this board, it comes preloaded with field(s) that you'll need to have on projects in this board.

For example, if you have a "Blog Posts" board, you might want to preload fields for "author" and "permalink" so that those can be filled in on the details tab for each "Blog Post" project you run inside this board.

After you've created some custom Fields, follow these steps to have them preloaded in a board's projects:

  1. Navigate to Boards, then click into the board you want to configure.
  2. Click the "Fields" tab.
  3. Open the dropdown and select the field(s) that you want to preload on this board's projects.
  4. Add as many as you need, or click "remove" to remove them.

Note:  If you click "remove" on a field in this list, it will not remove any field from currently active projects.  Your list of preloaded fields only applies to new projects that you create in the future, within this board.
